These cufflinks are cut approximately 0.75 inches square, and about 0.2 inches thick. They are made from either the charred insides of whiskey barrels, or the brown “clean cut” section behind the charred ash. These can be engraved with UP TO 3 CHARACTERS ONLY. I know it’s not much, but it’s just enough for initials. Each piece is hand cut, and both pieces in the pair are cut from the the same stave.
The whiskey barrel pieces are carefully sealed to prevent any of the ash from coming off on clothing, and then 3-5 layers of clear coat are applied to add a light gloss and provide further protection of the ash and your clothing.
If you order these in addition to any pen made from Whiskey Barrel or our tie clips/tacks, we will make sure that everything gets cut from the same stave.
